Our practice is involved in medical training. We usually have GP registrars working at the practice, these are fully qualified medical doctors undergoing training before becoming a general practitioner.
We are also involved in the teaching of medical students. The students that come to our practice are aware of the importance of confidentiality, however if you do not wish to be seen by a student this will not prejudice your care.
The practice also trains junior doctors (foundation year doctors). They are fully qualified and have already done training in the hospitals. You can expect them to provide a full range of GP serives. If they are not certain about what to do they will ask more senior colleagues for advice. Thank you for your understanding if this is needed.
When booking an appointment you may be asked if you would consult with one of our registrars or junior doctors. From time to time the doctors and registrar will need to videotape consultations but only with your permission.
